Dear 4-H Family:

Fair is just a few weeks away. And the last 48 weeks have led up to the upcoming month in preparation for 4-H Skillathons, Project Judging and Fair. Take a few minutes to make the next few weeks FUN and STRESS FREE – Here’s how:
  • Read this Newsletter to help you best prepare for skillathon, judging and Fair.

  • Review the Miscellaneous 4-H Project Judging Schedule (enclosed) to know what time your project(s) are judged on Tuesday, July 8.

  • Read the Jr. Fair Rules on-line at clark.osu.edu/4h/fair.htm

  • Pick Up An Open Class Fair Book at the Fair Office, Extension Office or View on line at clarkcountyfair.org/. Make Open Class Entries at the Fair Office by Monday, June 30, 2008.

  • Review the Clark County Fair Animal Show & Event Schedule (enclosed) to plan your family’s week at the Fair.

  • Be a GOOD SPORT in and outside of the show ring. Help a fellow 4-H’er or a new 4-H family. SMILE! Remember you are a CHAMPION, if you do your best, learn something new, share your knowledge and treat others with respect.

  • Enjoy 4-H and the Fair as a FAMILY. With your own family and your 4-H Family – your 4-H club, your 4-H friends and the 4-H volunteers, advisors, committees, Fair Board and Extension staff who help plan this experience for you.

  • Invite potential buyers to this year’s Jr. Fair Livestock Auctions - July 23-25. Help register new buyers with the New Buyer Form (enclosed).

  • Stop by the 4-H Office in the Youth Building to pick up your State Fair Packet, Purchase 4-H Items and Critters, See all the 4-H Booths or Lend a Helping Hand.

  • Send a “THANK YOU” after Fair to award sponsors, livestock buyers and individuals who helped you with your 4-H project this year. Don’t forget to enter the Livestock Buyer Thank You Card & Poster Contest at Skillathon.

    In the 4-H Spirit!
